About

My Story

Julie Thompson-Adolf is an obsessive organic gardener, local food lover, nature nut, bird nerd, book lover, and writer. She is the author of Starting & Saving Seeds: Grow the Perfect Vegetables, Fruits, Herbs, and Flowers for Your Garden (Cool Springs Press, 2018) and writes for dozens of horticulture clients, such as National Garden Bureau, Bonnie Plants, and Proven Winners, for her day job. Her writing and gardens have been featured in national, regional, and local publications. 


Along with garden writing, Julie worked as a public relations exec for an ad agency, a travel writer for an online publication, a marketing manager for a business book publisher, the chief articles writer/editor for the South Carolina Department of Travel and Tourism’s magazine, Smiles, and a garden editor for Southern Living and The Spruce.

 
Currently, Julie is revising her first novel.
